I remember hearing this on a great album by a band called Orbital back in 1993, oh my, was it really 27 years ago? Back then, it struck me as a profound statement, and it was no surprise when I learned it’s origins date much further back, actually, as far back as the 4th century BC by Chinese philosopher Lao Tzu.
I love this statement because it offers such hope to anyone wanting to make changes in their lives. It doesn’t matter what you want to achieve, how difficult it may seem or how long it might take. All journeys start from humble beginnings, a single step, and closer to your goal. It doesn’t matter how far you have to go, simply focus on each step, and you will reach your goal. This principle resonates with hypnotherapy which is often peoples first step towards achieving their goal or goals.
