Preparation:

Supervisees are expected to spend time before each session considering exactly what they would like to achieve from their supervision. It is the responsibility of the supervisee to ensure their aims are met during the session. For example, supervision topics might include:

• Client issues

• Personal issues (but not therapy for the supervisee)
• Suggested solutions for specific issues with client work
•Learning new techniques
•Ethics

Responsibilities and Accountability:

The supervisee agrees to the monthly fee for supervision or on an individual one to one bases. Fees for group supervision are payable by bank transfer on the 1st of each month (or nearest working date when the 1st is a bank holiday or weekend).

One to one supervision fees are payable at time of booking.

The primary purpose of supervision is to ensure the supervisee is meeting the needs of the client.

Supervision is a formal and collaborative process and requires a trusting professional relationship between supervisee and supervisor to help the supervisee to do his/her best work for the client.

The supervisor contracts to be positive and constructive during the sessions.

The supervisory relationship and material addressed is confidential, unless there is a breach of ethics, when the supervisor may seek additional advice from another party. The supervisor may also discuss the material with other colleagues to facilitate growth and improvement, in a way that ensures and retains anonymity and confidentiality for both the supervisee and client.
The supervisor will do everything possible to involve the supervisee and maintain a relationship
of trust and transparency.

Supervisor and supervisee will keep to agreed appointment and time boundaries. Privacy will be respected, and interruptions avoided.

I understand that my supervisor has the right to change locations, prices and methods of supervision at reasonable notice.

It is the responsibility of the supervisee to bring topics for discussion in supervision.

Feedback should be given and accepted constructively, both by the supervisee and the supervisor. We will review the process, and usefulness of the supervision to the supervisee frequently, or at the request of the supervisee.

Initially, we will meet over 6 months as a trial period. We can then agree to continue if desired by both supervisee and supervisor.

Longer sessions than minimum requirement may be arranged at an appropriate hourly pro rata fee, if the supervisee and supervisor believe that more time is required to meet the needs of the supervisee (and client).

This contract may be subject to change from time to time. The supervisee will be notified in writing if any changes occur.

Group supervision also includes contact with the supervisor between sessions via telephone, text or email. Please remember that the supervisor may be working with clients and unable to respond immediately but will endeavour to respond within 24 hours.

One to one sessions include a 15 minute follow up session as required.
